‘Residents on the North Arbury Estate have been complaining about the length of grass on their children’s playground for four months. The council say that the grass needs a flayer mower but the only one they have is out of order.’ Meanwhile it provided an adventure area for 2½ year old Nicholas Grainger and his friends in July 1973.
