‘Children trainspotting at Barnwell Junction Station in 1965. In 1960 it was thriving, sending 30,000 tons of merchandise and minerals a year, including malt from Barnwell maltings. The passenger fare to Cambridge was 6d. It closed as part of the Beeching cuts.’
